Saffron, a spice made from the dried stigmas of the saffron crocus, has a long history of use dating back over 3,500 years. It is believed to have originated in present-day Iran and was used by the ancient Greeks, Romans, and Persians as a dye, perfume, and spice. Saffron was also mentioned in the Old Testament as a valuable commodity and was used in traditional medicine in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. Today, saffron is still highly prized for its unique flavor and aroma and is used in a variety of dishes around the world.

Saffron is used in a wide variety of dishes, including rice dishes such as paella and biryani, as well as in soups, stews, and sauces. Saffron is also used in desserts such as ice cream and puddings. Here's what you'll need:
1 whole pineapple (peeled, cored, and chopped)
1/4 teaspoon of saffron threads
1/4 cup of sugar (or to taste)
1/4 cup of water
1/4 cup of fresh lime juice Ice (as much as you like)

Here's what you do:

  1. In a small saucepan, combine your saffron, sugar, and water. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is completely dissolved.
